Abstract |
Many research projects try to tackle the specific technological issues raised by audio-visual digital repositories such as the creation of stable compression and streaming standards such as the ones developed by MPEG [15], or the automatic extraction of descriptors [2], multimedia specific database technology [11] and server delivery [5], information retrieval methods [17], [12], [10] and user interfaces [14], [8].
